Sweet Wheel Farms (First Saturdays)

In partnership with Sweet Wheel Farms, the Santa Barbara Agriculture and Farm Education Foundation promotes sustainable agriculture and supports communities facing food insecurity. Volunteer opportunities include planting, harvesting, and farm maintenance, providing hands-on experience with organic farming and regenerative practices. Since opening, Sweet Wheel Farms has donated thousands of boxes, bags, and pounds of food; and given away approximately 2,000 meals to medically and financially food-fragile individuals and families now from Carpinteria to Goleta.

After our collaboration during Serve the City, we’re excited to offer quarterly and monthly service opportunities. Due to the physical nature of the work, volunteers must be in middle school or older to sign up.
